VOICE is 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization working to help build civil society in Vietnam and to resettle the last remaining boat-people left stateless in Thailand. VOICE is one of a few organisations spearheading advocacy efforts for the last remaining stateless Vietnamese in Southeast Asia from the ‘boat people’ exodus, following the fall of Saigon. Like a compass, our work and continuing advocacy efforts ensure that their ‘boats find a harbour.’ At the heart of our mission (and our name) is ‘Empowerment.’ VOICE is more than an aid organization. It is our goal to empower individuals so that they may have a voice.
Please join us to support VOICE's fundraiser on August 15, 2015 at Phu Lam Restaurant. All proceeds will go to VOICE's program to support human rights efforts, civil society development and to resettle the remaining Vietnamese boat-people/refugees in Thailand.
The night is inclusive of an 8-course dinner along with a show hosted by MC Trinh Hoi with singers Lam Thuy Van, Do Tien Dung, Kimo Huynh Khuu, Nguyen Dinh Kat and Khanh Di. The singers are accompanied by May Trang band.
